Young adults in Berkshire are being offered the chance to find their ideal career option with the help of psychometric testing.
The county's Connexions service is proving them with the opportunity to sit the Morrisby Profile test, a psychometric test that could help them make positive decisions about their future and discover their true potential.
The test is designed to find out what people are really like and generate objective information that would be hard to get any other way. Normally, a range of tests are taken and an interests questionnaire is completed to give a full picture of a person's strengths, abilities and motivation.
The relationships between their test results allow predictions to be made about the sort of environments and work that would suit them best.
Connexions Berkshire Personal Adviser, Aileen Sinclair, said that not everybody knows what they want to do when they grow up and the Morrisby Profile psychometric test is a really good resource for young people who are undecided about the type of job they would like to do or if they are wondering what subject to study at a higher level.
She added that it was also an excellent tool for adults thinking about a career change and it had already helped hundreds of people across the county find their hidden talents and helped them to find careers that match their abilities and work interests.
